Andrew Lucas was born in 1977 in the city of Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. From an early age, Andrew was always creative with an eye and an interest in art. It wasn’t until Andrew was in his late teens that he began to paint watercolours.

Andrew is completely self taught in the medium of watercolour, and developed his style, technique and knowledge of watercolours through time and application, resulting in what his portfolio is today.

He has been commissioned many times and derives much satisfaction from other people enjoying his work. Commissions are ongoing and Andrew enjoys the challenge that this work brings.

In 2003, Andrew held his debut solo exhibition, “ The Inspirational World “ at the Portico gallery in Salisbury library. His first exhibition proved to be a crucial stepping stone for the wider audience to view his work.

Andrew is planning future exhibitions, as he feels that this is the most important part of painting, for other people to enjoy art.
